Time to keep this money train rolling. The Phoenix Mercury tip off against the Connecticut Sun on Thursday. This will be a real barn burner, as they say. The Mercury rolls in with their Big 3 of Taurasi, Griner and Bonner, while the Sun bring their band of super role players to the court. Both teams like to score. They each have scored over 90 points 7 ot their last 10 contests respectively. I expect these two teams to trade body blows throughout the entire game. A lot of lead changes and scoring. The Mercury haven’t been on the road since the beginning of August. If this was a regular season game, I would expect them to mail it in. Instead, Taurasi will show why she is still a top 3 (1?) player in the world. Expect her to hit a couple 3s early in the 1st quarter to ease her teammates in. The Sun at home are a scoring machine. Do not expact any slowing down, especially with a fast paced game. Let’s get out there and strap it up.
